Submitting A Network Profile: Frequently Asked Questions

1. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO HAVE A NETWORK PROFILE PAGE AND SHOWCASE MY WORK ON THE SOLE COMPANY WEBSITE?
We just want to cover our costs so we only charge £50 per year. If you renew in subsequent years without any major changes to your network profile page, we will only charge £35 a year thereafter.
2. ADVERTISING IS USUALLY EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE, ESPECIALLY FOR BUSINESSES.
WHY DON’T YOU CHARGE MORE FOR A NETWORK PROFILE PAGE?
You’re right; it’s cheaper to showcase your work with us for a whole year to a global market than place a small advert in your local paper for just one week!
But we set out to achieve 5 main aims and one of them was to:
Work in partnership with others to create a global network of like-minded individuals and organisations; making it easy for everyone to find the personal growth and development products and services they are looking for.
Every provider who has a network profile page is helping us to achieve that aim.
In return we feel it’s only fair that we make showcasing their work with The Sole Company as cost effective as possible for both parties; so as long as we cover our costs we’re happy.
We really want everyone to benefit!
3. AS THE PROVIDER OF A PERSONAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT PRODUCT OR SERVICE, WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BEING PART OF THE SOLE COMPANY NETWORK?
There are loads of benefits but here a just a few:
- You get to write your very own page on our website to showcase the work that you do to our users; a great opportunity to raise your professional profile and brand identity in the personal growth and development market.
- Your network profile page includes a 250 word copy space, a list of 50 keywords that best describes the work that you do, your full contact details and your company logo or image; creating a professional and comprehensive summary of your work to an online community.
- As an integral part of our website, your network profile will automatically be made available to a genuinely interested audience; giving you the chance to introduce your work to a global subject specific client group.
- For less than a £1 a week, we showcase your work to the world on a whole page of our website for a year; helping you to make your advertising budget go further and providing you with real value for money.
- We are happy for there to be a reciprocal link between our websites; helping you to make those all important links with people in the field of personal growth and development.
- We always display your full contact details clearly on your network profile page; making sure that any opportunities or interest in your work comes directly to you!
4. CAN ANYONE IN THE FIELD OF PERSONAL GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT HAVE A PROFILE PAGE ON THE SOLE COMPANY NETWORK?
Anyone can submit a ‘Network Profile’ for approval but unfortunately not everyone will be successful.
In order to provide a professional and comprehensive yet balanced service to our users we sometimes have to decline some providers.
5. CAN I HAVE MY NETWORK PROFILE DISPLAYED IN MORE THAN ONE CATEGORY ON THE NETWORK?
We ask you to choose just ONE main category heading to display your network profile.
Our ‘no-nonsense approach’ is key to everything that we do at The Sole Company and keeping the information we publish on our website simple and easy to access is an important part of this.
We know this can be difficult because your work often crosses over into many areas but we do need to ask you to choose just one category heading - and then use your 250 words and the keywords section to ensure that all areas of your work are comprehensively covered.
We feel this keeps the network simple and easy to use - your network profile will be displayed under one main heading yet it can be found easily by users using our search facility under absolutely any of your 50 keywords or the areas of expertise described in your profile text.
6. HOW DO I SUBMIT A NETWORK PROFILE TO THE SOLE COMPANY?
We just need a few things from you:
- Your full name
- Your position
- Business name
- A contact name (If different from above)
- A contact email address
- A contact phone number
- Your website address
- Select a category for your network profile
- A list of keywords (Max. 50 words)
- Your ‘Network Profile’ text (Max. 250 words)
This is all covered by the completion of a ‘Network Profile Submission Form’ which you simply need to return to us with the following attachments:
- 2 x images/company logo (JPEG): One for your main profile image (preferably portrait) and the other for your thumbnail image on the network listing (preferably landscape)
Things that you don't need to worry about are the layout of your page, the font, the font size and your image/logo size because these are all automatically formatted by our team to create continuity throughout The Sole Company website.
On receipt of your completed ‘Network Profile Submission Form’ and your images/company logo - we will check over everything to make sure it’s all OK and get back to you within 5 working days to let you know if we are able to add your profile to the network.
