Submitting An Article: Frequently Asked Questions

Tuesday 12th May 2009

1. ARE YOU AN ARTICLE DISTRIBUTION SITE?

We don’t hide the fact that we are not an article distribution site and that our articles section was created with the sole purpose of helping us to achieve one of our main aims, which is to:

Invite individuals to share their thoughts, views, knowledge and experiences with others to create a one-stop source of diverse and stimulating FREE personal growth and development articles; making it easy for everyone to access the latest thinking in personal growth and development.

Just because our focus is to provide a service to our users, doesn’t mean that your article won’t get out there - far from it!

Your article will not only get out there but it will reach the perfect audience too because people who come to our website are looking for exactly the sort of stuff your articles are made of!

2. DO YOU CHARGE TO PUBLISH AN ARTICLE ON YOUR WEBSITE?

Absolutely not! If your article is approved, your article will be published free of charge.

3. SO WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS TO HAVING AN ARTICLE PUBLISHED ON THE SOLE COMPANY WEBSITE?

By helping us to achieve one of our main aims, you automatically get to promote yourself and the work that you do in the process. Here are just a few of the many benefits:

4. WHAT CAN MY ARTICLE BE ABOUT?

As long as it’s under the heading of ‘Personal growth and development’ and it doesn’t breach any of our terms and conditions, absolutely anything that you feel would be of interest to our users.

To be sure that you are clear what would breach our terms and conditions please read them, especially Section 10 ‘Acceptable Uses’.

5. WHAT ABOUT COPYRIGHT?

Authors keep the copyright of any material that we publish in our articles section.

We don’t claim ownership of any of your material. We just need to be able to do what’s necessary to format your work to our own specification and make your article available online to our users. All we then ask is that you allow our users to download and reprint it; other than that, it’s up to you what else other people can and can’t do with your work.

In fact, we ask all of our authors to state their ‘Reprint Rights’ clearly on any material that we publish so that our users know exactly what they can and can’t do with your article.

Don’t worry if you don’t have any specific ‘Reprint Rights’, you can use our standard terms:

The author has kindly chosen to make this article available to download and reprint free of charge for personal and non-commercial use, on the condition that the article text and hyperlinks are not altered in any way and that the article is reprinted in its entirety.

Please obtain permission directly from the author to reprint or republish this article outside of these terms.

To see exactly how your article may be used please make sure you read our terms and conditions, especially Section 14 ‘Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights’.

6. HOW DO I SUBMIT AN ARTICLE TO THE SOLE COMPANY?

We just need a few things from you:

And not forgetting the all important article text! (Max. 3500 words as a ‘Word’ document)

This is all covered by the completion of an ‘Article Submission Form’.

Things that you don't need to worry about are the layout of your article, the font, the font size and your photo/logo size because these are all automatically formatted by our team to create continuity throughout The Sole Company website.

To request an 'Article Submission Form' please email us at mail@thesolecompany.com.

Simply return your completed 'Article Submission Form' to the same email address with a copy of your article and your photo/company logo if you have one.

We will check over everything to make sure it’s all OK and get back to you within 5 working days to let you know if we can publish your article.
